MANILA, Philippines - International singing sensation Charice is not filing charges against a restaurant in Singapore after falling ill due to alleged food poisoning.
The 18-year-old songstress, who flew back home on Sunday to take a brief rest here, dismissed the idea of taking any legal action against the management of the restaurant.
She said that was no longer necessary since nothing grave happened to her.
"Hindi. Tao lang din sila, wala namang napahamak, hindi naman sobra 'yong nangyari, so wala naman po," she said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
Charice assured her fans that she's now in good condition.
She continued: "Ayoko na...talagang pang-Filipino food lang ako."
Charice, along with David Foster, Natalie Cole and other international artists, was in Singapore last week for the "David Foster & Friends" Asia tour.
Hours before the concert she was rushed to a hospital there due to suspected food poisoning. Her mom, Raquel, said the young singing idol was vomiting Saturday morning after eating sushi in a restaurant.
Foster, Cole, and other artists who ate the same dish also reportedly got sick.
"Siguro nanibago lang 'yong sikmura niya kasi di ko siya pinapakain ng ganoon...kaya ngayon, tama na 'yon, at least natikman niya," Raquel said.
Meanwhile, Raquel extended her gratitude to Charice's fans for their concern.
"Salamat sa lahat ng nag-alala sa anak ko. Ito 'yong patunay na mahal ninyo ang anak ko," she said.
Charice will be in the Philippines for a week and will fly to Los Angeles to fulfill her numerous commitments, including a taping for hit American television series "Glee."
She first appeared on the TV show in September, performing Lady Gaga's "Telephone" with "Glee" star Lea Michele and Dreamgirls song "Listen" as her audition piece. -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
