MANILA, Philippines – A Singaporean man was arrested yesterday for allegedly attempting to smuggle at least four kilos of shabu – with a street value of around P20 million – into the country, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) chief Dionisio Santiago said yesterday.
He said they arrested Soh Kiam Hwee, 36, as soon as he planed in from Bangkok, Thailand yesterday. They seized four transparent plastic bags of shabu in a laptop bag carried by the suspect.
Santiago said they received a tip that a suspected drug courier was leaving Bangkok for Manila. He said they have charged the Singaporean with importing dangerous drugs.
