MANILA, Philippines - With only 3 days to go before Christmas, Divisoria is teeming with people who are doing some last-minute shopping.
The market district, located at the heart of Manila, is popular among locals, foreigners and bargain hunters for selling wares at rock-bottom prices.
It is open 24/7 this holiday season to accommodate more customers, causing sidewalk vendors to earn more this year.
Just by selling cheap items, from clothes to toys, some of them claimed that they now get as much as P16,000 to P30,000 a day.

Key chain - P10 per piece
Wallet - P10 per piece
Watch - P75 per piece
Earrings - P10 per pair
Shorts - P50 per pair
Kids' clothes - P50 per piece
Kids' shoes - P100 per pair
Sandals and slippers - P65 per pair
Toys - P10 to P20 per piece
Cup - P10 per piece
Kiat kiat (fruit) - P25 per bag
Seedless grapes - P140 per kilo
Ponkan - P20 per piece
Apple - P50 per piece
Police forces have been deployed in Divisoria to make sure that the area is safe from pickpockets and other law breakers.
