MANILA, Philippines – It has been a tradition among individuals around the world to reflect on the things that they have done in the past year and to commit to do changes whenever a new year is about to start. Celebrities are not excluded in this custom.
Sharing to ABS-CBN News their New Year’s resolutions, some celebrities have revealed that they are now ready to start the change within themselves.
Actress Nikki Valdez said she is aiming to control her temper since she easily gets irritated. “Every year it’s always my temper ang bilis ko magalit,” she said.
Carlo Aquino, on the other hand, said he’s hoping he can quit smoking.
Moreover, comedian Eugene Domingo vows to be a more responsible citizen in 2011.
“Bilang Filipino, kahit gaano kaliit na batas na puwede natin sundin, sundin mo ‘di ba? Pagpila, pagbayad ng buwis, sumunod ka,” she said.
Meanwhile, the New Year’s resolution of Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has something to do with her love life.
“To be single (laughs). To be free and single!!! I’ll be 40 in 2011 and I’m looking forward to it. I feel there will be so many life changes,” she shared.
As for Aquino’s “Dalaw” leading man, Diether Ocampo, he said he would want to focus more on helping less fortunate next year.
“Isang programa ng Kids Foundation is magtayo ng sports facilities and training center. Mahirap gawin pero kaya sa tulong ng mga private sectors,” he revealed.
Actress Andi Eigenmann and child star Zaijan Jaranilla’s resolutions both concern their careers.
“Talagang magseseryoso ako and full focus sa pagtratrabaho para mas maging successful,” said Eigenmann.
“Gusto ko po ng maraming commercial, teleserye para maraming pera...Opo tinitipid ko para kapag hindi na ako artista, may pera pa rin kami,” Jaranilla said.
Having shared these resolutions by several stars, it only shows that even celebrities are committed to changing for the better to be able to be a good example to all their fans and supporters. -Report from Gretchen Fullido, ABS-CBN News
