abs-cbnNEWS.comMANILA, Philippines - Actor William Martinez is fast recovering at the hospital after suffering from a stroke early this week, his wife, Yayo Aguila, said Friday.
In a text message to ABS-CBN News, Aguila said Martinez is now in better condition.
"He was already able to move his arm. Speech is clear," the actress said in her text message.
Aguila broke the news about Martinez's condition on Tuesday. She said her husband was rushed to the St. Luke's Medical Center Monday morning after suffering a stroke.
The actress also thanked their friends and supporters for the prayers they offered for Martinez.
Last July, Aguila confirmed that she was no longer living with Martinez after being married for 25 years.
However, she said she was not closing her doors to the actor, especially since no annulment has been filed yet.
Aguila denied all the rumored reasons surrounding their split, such as third party, financial problems and Martinez's alleged alcohol and drug issues. – Report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
