MANILA, Philippines – After much speculation, Hayden Kho on Sunday finally confirmed that he and celebrity doctor Vicki Belo are back into each other's arms.

Kho, who is 24 years younger than Belo, declared his love for the cosmetic surgeon on “The Buzz” Sunday. He said he is now more in love with Belo, who stood by him as he went through rough times due to the sex video scandal last year.

The May-December romance ended after Belo discovered Kho’s illicit affair with actress Katrina Halili, one of the women in Kho's sex videos.

"Nag-iiba kasi ang definition ko ng love overtime as I mature. Kasi ‘yong time na hindi romantic ang relationship namin ni Vicki, doon ko naramdaman ang totoong pagmamahal na nandiyan pa din siya morally. I mean to give moral support," he said.

Kho said he is unfazed by the public’s disapproval of their relationship, saying he is “not out to please other people.”

"I'm out to live my life for myself and for the person I love…. Sinubukan ko na po yan dati na ginagawa ko ang mga bagay para sa ibang tao. It didn't work out. Ngayon natutunan ko na kung may gusto akong gawin, ito ‘yong bagay na gusto ko talagang gawin para sa sarili,” he said.

He hopes though that the public will see the love he has for Belo.

It has been said that Belo's son, Quark Henares, was one of those who oppose the Kho-Belo relationship. Henares reportedly said that his mom would always have his acceptance, but he didn’t promise the same to Kho.

Sex videos

A year since the sex video scandal, Kho is slowly re-building his life.

"What I realized is that no matter how big a mess you created in your life, no matter how deep or far you've fallen, the story doesn't have to end that way, if you don't want it to. If you have the strength of character, if you have the wit, and most especially the faith, then you can change things," Kho said.

Like before, Kho takes full responsibility for the sex videos. The videos were reportedly taken without the consent and knowledge of the women he had sex with.

Kho’s wish is that those who got hurt will find it in their hearts to forgive him.

"I do want to make amends with everyone. Gusto kong ayusin ang lahat sa mga taong nagkamali ako pero hindi na kasi ganoon kadali. May mga bagay na nangyari na parang wala ng pagkakataong maayos," he said.

Kho maintained that he's also a victim, pointing out that he had been harassed and blackmailed ever since the scandal broke out.

Kho is still facing criminal charges filed by Halili for violating Republic Act (RA) 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act.

In November 2009, his medical license was revoked by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
