MANILA, Philippines - Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. lambasted Hayden Kho, partner of celebrity cosmetic doctor, Vicky Belo, over the Kho's statement last Sunday that he is "narrow-minded."
In a statement, Revilla said that he does not mind if Kho still feels bitter over what happened to him after his controversial sex videos with different women were exposed last year. Upon the initiative of Revilla, the incident was investigated by the Philippine Senate.
Revilla said Kho should take responsibility for his wrongdoings, and that he should not pass it on to other people. He told Kho to deal with his own problems, including the revocation of his medical license.
Revilla said he had called for a Senate investigation because he wants to protect the rights of the women who were victims of the scandal.
"When I called for an investigation on the sex video scandal, I did not do this to advance my political or showbiz career. In fact, I gained nothing from it.
"Isa siyang de tituladong tao at bilang isang edukadong tao, I expect some decency in him. He disappoints me, including the people around him.
Yun ang dapat niyang asikasuhin,” Revilla said.
Who's the victim?
Last Sunday, in an interview on "Paparazzi," Kho described Revilla as narrow-minded after the senator criticized him anew.
Revilla, who called Kho "the highest pervert" after the sex video scandal broke last year, said he is unhappy that Kho is being labeled as a victim in the scandal.
"I’m quite disappointed really. We Filipinos have such a short memory and are quick to forget. I just hope that at the end of the day, everybody gets what they deserve and justice is meted out," he said in a statement to Philippine Star columnist Ricky Lo.
In response, Kho said Revilla was very narrow-minded for issuing the statement.
Kho said the senator's words had no benefit for the country.
I think walang naitutulong yon," he said.
Kho is facing criminal charges filed by actress Katrina Halili after their sex videos were leaked on the Internet.
In November 2009, his medical license was revoked by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
