MANILA, Philippines – The Quizon family is extremely happy after Comedy King Dolphy won top awards in the recent Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) awards night.
Talking to “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Tuesday, Epi Quizon said their whole family believes Dolphy is truly deserving of the best actor and best supporting actor trophies.
“We are so happy that he won. He won because I believe he deserves it...I also believe that he has apologized to the people that he has offended already. Now is the time for us to forgive and forget,” Epi said.
He also added that he thinks their dad has given justice to the the roles he was given.
“If you watch the film, I think he did justice to the roles he was given, very effective drama in Father Jejemon,” Epi stressed.
Speaking in behalf of his brothers and sisters, Epi expressed a desire for their father to already retire from show business.
“Kaming mismong mga anak na ang nagsabi na dapat naman mag-retire na siya. Of course siya, gusto pa niya magtrabahao at saka may mga kontrata pa rin siyang tinatapos,” he disclosed.
More than the awards, Epi disclosed that what made his father very happy this Christmas was that he was able to spend it with all of them.
“Masayang masaya siya kasi marami ang mga kapatid kong nag-uwian galing sa [United] States at Australia,” he said.
